بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the Name of Allāh, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ﴿١﴾

Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he!(1)

مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ﴿٢﴾

Neither his wealth availed him, nor what he had earned.(2)

سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ﴿٣﴾

Soon he will enter the blazing fire,(3)

وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ﴿٤﴾

and his wife [too], the firewood carrier,(4)

فِى جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍۭ﴿٥﴾

with a rope of palm fibre around her neck.(5)
