بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the Name of Allāh, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةٍ﴿١﴾

Woe to every scandal-monger and slanderer,(1)

ٱلَّذِى جَمَعَ مَالًا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ﴿٢﴾

who amasses wealth and counts it over.(2)

يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥٓ أَخْلَدَهُۥ﴿٣﴾

He supposes his wealth will make him immortal!(3)

كَلَّا ۖ لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِى ٱلْحُطَمَةِ﴿٤﴾

No indeed! He will surely be cast into the Crusher.(4)

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْحُطَمَةُ﴿٥﴾

And what will show you what is the Crusher?(5)

نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُوقَدَةُ﴿٦﴾

[It is] the fire of Allah, set ablaze,(6)

ٱلَّتِى تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةِ﴿٧﴾

which will overspread the hearts.(7)

إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِم مُّؤْصَدَةٌ﴿٨﴾

Indeed it will close in upon them(8)

فِى عَمَدٍ مُّمَدَّدَةٍۭ﴿٩﴾

in outstretched columns.(9)
